History

The international freight forwarder Karl Heinz Dietrich (KHD) was founded in Ingenried near Kaufbeuren in 1945, now looking back on close to 70 years of experience in the logistics business and, having been an IATA agent since 1950, more than 60 years of experience in the air freight business.

With more than 600 employees, the family business KHD operates worldwide and runs branch offices outside of Germany among others in Romania, Poland, The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Turkey and Mexico. Apart from these, we work in close partnership with businesses in North- and South America as well as in Asia.

A brief history of our company

2014 Logistics company Karl Heinz Dietrich opens the logistic center (10.000 m²) in Jucu / Cluj Napocaj, Romania
2014 Opening of the distribution center's extension to 30.000 m² by Dietrich-Honold in cooperation with Heraeus-Kulzer-Dental in Sacalaz/Timisoara, Romania
2013 Extension of the distribution centre in Sacalaz/Timisoara, Romania, by another 10.000 m² in cooperation with Honold Logistic
2013 Six month after establishment of Karl Heinz Dietrich International kft in Hungary the compnay starts its packaging and cleaning service
2009 Extenstion of storage capacity  in Bucharest by another 10,500 m²
2009 Opening of a second distribution center in Biala Rawska, Poland
2008 Extension of the logistics center in Bucharest to over 38,000 m² of storage space
2007 Extension of the logistics center in Bucharest to 32,000 m² 
2007 KHD is No.1 airfreight forwarder between Germany and Brazil and No. 2 to Mexico
2006 Expansion of KHDs network in East Asia through a new branch office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia / PAL
